I remember when I was about 10 years old, I would make my mom buy me blank cassette tapes. I would sit in my room, turn my radio on, find 105.9 and wait for Bone Thugs to air, or Dove Shack's Summer Time in the LBC just so I can record it onto my tape. When the end of the song would hit, I'd slowly drop the volume to create that fading effect (then I learned sometimes that wouldn't work so the track would cut off). That's when I knew, I wanted to be a DJ..
And maybe that one time I came across my uncle's record player and started to imitate scratching then realizing I broke something. Later on I found out I broke his needle. Yeah, that's when I knew I wanted to be a DJ.
