Hey guys - We wanted to give everyone a band update because we have been so busy lately! We are busy booking shows and getting ready for summer. We hope you can all come out to a show or two in the upcoming months. First of all, we just found out that we made it into the Wildcard Round of Battle of The Bands 2 sponsored by CravingsToGo.com, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Fox 11, the Fine Line Music Café, and many others. The first stage of the Battle process will be all online where you can vote for us to win the Wildcard spot. You can vote once per hour and the band with the most votes by July 16th will be awarded the Wildcard spot. Fifteen other bands are competing for the Wildcard spot, and if we make it, we get to play the Battle Finals at the Fine Line in Minneapolis. The grand prizes are huge for this competition, so please go to http://www.cravingstogo.com/bobwildcard.cfm (then click "Wild Card Contest" in the upper right hand corner) and vote for us every hour! Starting today, This Is Not All, will be available for purchase at all Twin Cities Cheapo locations. Furlough In The Finals

Thanks to all who came out to support us at Club 3 Degrees last Friday night, we had a great time. We didn't finish in the top 3 (which is where the $$ and goods were) but we are both happy and thankful that we were able to get so far in the tournament this year. We are very excited for this week as our new CD This Is Not All releases to the world. We love how it turned out and cannot wait for you to hear the entire album! Furlough has huge plans for this week and for the upcoming weeks to spread the new music around, so here is what you need to know: 1. THIS IS NOT ALL CD RELEASE SHOW - Club 3 Degrees, Minneapolis on Thursday, Jan 31st At our show you can purchase the new album for the special price of $5. This show is also Round 2 of Battle of The Bands and each fan that comes to see us will add to our Battle Score, so it is important for you to come! Bring your friends and be one of the first to get the new CD. We want to make this one of our biggest shows ever. AUDEO MERCH The good people over at Audeo Merch have recently opened Furlough's merch store where the new CD and other merch can be purchased. Make sure to stop by the site and also look for them at the upcoming CD Release Show. 4. ONLINE PLAYS Furlough's new music has been receiving a lot of plays in the past week on all of their different sites. The new music has caught the attention of listeners from all over the country including some record labels and reviewers. When you keep on listening to Furlough's new stuff, it helps the band a ton - the more plays we get, the more recognition Furlough will receive within the industry. CD RELEASE JAN 31ST, PLUS New Song Available DECEMBER 19TH Ladies and gentlemen, At long last it is my pleasure to give you an official release date for Furlough's forthcoming EP "This is Not All." We have the final mix. We have our photography done. We have enough money to print the thing. FULL STEAM AHEAD at last. You've probably seen that we have several shows coming up in January, and the FINAL show in January is our OFFICIAL CD release show - along with being the second round of the Club 3 Battle of the Bands. The charge for this show is going to be 8 bucks (I believe it's 6 with a student ID) but more importantly we will be selling the new disc for $5.00 at this show. This is discounted from the $8.00 we will normally be selling it for. So come check it out! We should have the new artwork along with a new look for the myspace rolling out shortly. Beyond the release, a WEEK FROM TODAY we will be rolling out our song Blue Glass on the myspace. Many of you may have checked it out on the Rage Against Abuse compilation, but this is a much more polished and refined version of the song. 2008 Raging Battle of The Bands Current mood: energetic Category: Music Rage Against Abuse is a group movement to raise awareness about child abuse. Their goal is to carry the message from youth to youth to unite and bring attention to a huge problem in America. Last year, we played their Rage Against Abuse Festival and were also featured on their compliation album ("Blue Glass") available online. This year, they are having their festival again, and we have been nominated for their Battle of The Bands Competition! Now, to get into the battle we will need your help.
