Futile verschmelzen alternativen Rock mit progressiven Elementen und lassen stellenweise metallische Haerte in ihren Sound einfließen. Sie schaffen eine aufreibende Atmosphaere, die von einem facettenreichen, vorwiegend cleanen Gesang getragen wird. Vertrackte Rhythmen oeffnen sich in einprägsame Melodien, ein schoener tragender Sound und progressive Elemente wechseln sich ab.

Die Band aus der Suedpfalz gruendet sich im Fruehjahr 2006, wobei von Beginn an für Oliver Reinecke (Gesang/Gitarre), Dominik Schaetzel (Gitarre), Philipp Schrenk (Bass) und Patrick Spotka (Schlagzeug) feststand, dass sie mehr wollen, als Musik aus bloßen Zeitvertreib zu machen. Bereits im Dezember 2006 werden unter Regie von Andreas Schorpp in Karlsruhe sechs Songs aufgenommen, die im Maerz 2007 als selbstbetitelte EP erscheint. Die positive Resonanz der regionalen Musik-Szene sowie die vielen durchweg guten Kritiken von einschlaegigen Magazinen zeigen, auf welch hohem musikalischen Niveau Futile sich bewegen. Auch live haben Futile einiges zu bieten, denn die vier Musiker stellen hohe Ansprueche an die Qualitaet ihrer Shows.
In den vergangenen zwei Jahren wurden ca. 30 Konzerte gespielt und Futile standen unter anderem mit Bands wie Harmful, The End und Fear Before The March Of Flames auf der Buehne.

Nachdem Futile mit STF Records ein Label gefunden haben, steht der Veroeffentlichung ihres ersten full-lenght Albums ,,The Argonaut" im Dezember 2008 nichts mehr im Weg.

Futile fuse alternative rock with progressive elements, occasionally introducing a metallic edge in their sound. They create a blistering ambience, carried by diverse, predominantly clean vocals, with complicate rhythms opening into catchy melodies. The band, based in the south of Rhineland-Palatine (Germany), was founded in the Spring of 2006. From the beginning Oliver Reinecke (vocals/guitar), Dominik Schaetzel (guitar), Philipp Schrenk (bass) and Patrick Spotka (drums) saw in their music more than just a pastime project.
The four musicians approach the "Project Futile" with the utmost dedication and as professional as possible. Several times a week they work on new material, sending it through an exhausting process to ensure it meets the bands standards in every way. Already in December 2006 the band recorded 6 songs, produced by Andreas Schorpp (Karlsruhe/Germany). They were released in March 2007 as a self titled EP. The favorable feedback from the local music scene as well as consistently positive reviews of relevant music magazines is proof for the high level of standards applied by Futile. Futile's live performances have a lot to offer as well, with the band applying the same level of quality to their shows.

Over the last 12 months Futile had over 20 performances, sharing the stage with bands like Harmful, The End and Fear Before The March Of Flames, to name a few.

Currently the boys are working full throttle on their debut album, to be released by STF in December 2008.
