I dreamt I was watching an old SNL comedy special, set in a studio-in-the-round stage which was about 12' off the ground with the audience below. It almost felt like a boxing ring but without the ropes. For Steve Martin's set, he had a miniature horse the size of a pony that he'd trained to fetch and retrieve a red rubber ball. Steve would throw the ball and the horse would bring it back, UNTIL he threw too far and the ball bounced right over the edge of the stage... ever faithful, the horse ran right off the stage to retrieve it, presumably falling to its doom, while Steve said "ooooh nooooooooooooo"
