Gabe Moon started playing Beatles songs on a Univox Les Paul knock-off in the late 80's. By the mid-90's he was playing drums for the mid-west indie darlings Sidereal and partying with a proto-Tommie Sunshine. During the late 90's and early 00's he formed 33hz in and around NYC (mostly Williamsburg and the Lower East Side). The band started as an improvisational hip-hop sound system laying down tracks for free-style rappers from all over the city at a series of wild shows at Baby Jupiter. In 2004 the band released their first Pop album on Outlook records. In the spring of 2006 Gabe Moon decided he had had enough of the Big Apple, and of 33hz. Upon returning to NYC from a successful European tour he began making plans to escape to the warm waters of South Beach. After some ill-defined amount of days passed in the sun, sand and surf - he decided to get back to work. These songs are in progress some more finished than others, some destined to be on the final album, some destined to be forgotten on some old hard drive. Either way, Moon believes that the idea of a "finished" album is now entirely outdated - so this is what we are left with, for now.
