Brian McCauley has been playing with drum machines since 1989. From playing in various bands across the genres to spinning drum and bass, hip hop and idm, he has continued to expand his musical experiences and forge them into his own solo creations as GASP. a founder of the San Francisco based Stress Collective, he threw numerous underground events around the Bay Area. Moving towards more experimental sounds, he became part of the Terpsichore Group (www.terpsichoregroup.org), and a resident at the weekly Synapse event in SF. In his new home of Portland, OR, he ran the successful laptop lounge (www.laptop-lounge.org) for over a year, and released 3 local compilations in affiliation with the night. His new album 'If Only the Cold Morning Was Warm As Us By Night' is out now on Buried In Time records (www.buriedintime.com).
