About
Glass Bottom Boat Ride is composed of a pot-luck of members from varied backgrounds. In the Spring of 2006, Casey Shelton (Guitar and Vocals) and Joe Willy (Guitar) were introduced to the heavy backbeat rhthm section of Austin Corder (Drums) and Brandon Hebbert (Bass) by Adam of Playing with Matches. The ole' Boat Ride spent the rest of the spring and summer writing songs and tightening down a set of solid rock. Then, in the dog days of late August, GBBR hit the stage with friends and fellow Springfield rockers Playing with Matches and A Day Away. With a hearty response from a packed house, GBBR caught the fever of Rock n' Roll and now plan to spend the rest of their time together as proverbial sailors traveling from port to port spreading the word of Rock in all its unprotected fashion.
