"Your feeds are mine ... muahahaha" - One more step towards Google's World domination

"So, my dear kamerad, who is next ?", that's probably what Google's executives were saying during coffee break in the middle of $3.1 billion signing ceremony of double-click acquisition.

"The feeds ...." say somebody straightaway. And so Google went and acquired Feedburner ! Arguably the biggest, if not the only, RSS Feed management service provider in the whole Internet world, has already owned a big share in Internet's RSS Feeds population.

And now Google own this. Imagine the power that Google can wield with this new weapon, especially in regards of its Ads Business.

Many people doesn't like Feedburner because if you sign up with their service, you will loose your ownership if your feed. Although with a little bit of .htaccess hacking, you can take this ownership back.

Now with Google acquisition, people might get even more uncomfortable with it.

On the other hand, it might get better for many people, because having Google backing you up could mean more stability (financially wise). And then there is the AdSense, it could mean an easier and tighter integration with this 'money making engine'. This is got to be Google's aim, integration of its ads to every 'nook and cranny' of every single RSS Feeds on the Net.

So, what's next Google ? I think they should build their own web browser, what do you think.

Here is the link to the Feedburner Press Release.
