I'm done posting anything here, or on myspace. I'm done posting anything anywhere I know people read it, because knowing as much is indivorcible from caring that they read it. You've got an audience, you're performing. Even if it wasn't looking backwards, odious unto itself, it's revising before you've even written, my least favorite thing compositionally speaking, and all that's keeping anyone from ability. If people waited to revise, like they should, anybody would be able to write. Books, songs, stories, anything.

So I'm done self-editing on myspace and pretending it's for me. Anytime you know that someone else is reading it, you're on stage. It's for you and whoever reads it, and unless you're a sociopath you care about what they think. The only alternative is to put what you make somewhere other people will never find it.
