Ferroviere per 25 anni per una musica libera Nel suo ultimo cd ha raccontato il mondo da "questa parte del mare", musica e poesia per narrare le migrazioni del XXI secolo. Gianmaria Testa (foto di Bertrand Desprez) è un cantautore d'altri tempi, scrive canzoni per sé e solo dopo molti anni ha rotto il ghiaccio proponendo il suo lavoro al Festival di Recanati. Era il 1993 e tra i giurati vi era Fabrizio De Andrè. Il riconoscimento arriva subito perché è difficile rimanere indifferenti alla sua musica. Così comincia una carriera felice che lo porta a vincere nel 2007 il Premio Tenco proprio con il disco che racconta "Da questa parte del mare". Martedì 22 luglio sarà in concerto nella suggestiva cornice del Chiostro di Voltorre a Gavirate. La performance musicale è accompagnata dal jazzista Gabriele Mirabassi al clarinetto. Sarà un concerto a due? Mi fa molto piacere la collaborazione con questo grande musicista, che conosco da molti anni e con il quale vi è sempre molta affinità. È un interprete libero con il quale è impossibile fare una scaletta dei brani. Ci diamo una traccia ed il resto viene da sé. Ogni concerto è sempre diverso. Presenteremo brani dell'ultimo album e altre canzoni di repertorio. Ha tenuto il suo primo importante concerto all'Olympia di Parigi, che rapporto ha con questo paese e con il pubblico francese che lo segue moltissimo? È nato un po' per caso, essendo di Cuneo sono sempre stato un "transfrontaliero", se così possiamo dire. (full article) In Traspi: F. - à Léo Dopo la Bohéme, primo appuntamento per il Regio a Racconigi, ecco ora arrivare nelle Serre Reali del Castello un progetto affascinante: F. - à Léo (inizio concerto alle 21:30). F è Léo Ferré, poeta musicista, anarchico, una parabola umana, affettiva e politica tra il Principato di Monaco, Parigi e infine l'Italia. L'idea ha radici lontane. È il 2001: a Liegi, in Belgio, il pianista Roberto Cippelli dopo un concerto insieme a Paolo Fresu va in un ristorante gestito da un amico intimo del cantautore francese: Ricordo come fosse oggi la piacevole ed intensa conversazione che avemmo su Ferré, circondati dalla sua musica diffusa, dagli oggetti e le fotografie che lo ricordavano (quasi un "santuario") e dalle parole del ristoratore calorose, centellinate, avare e profondamente rispettose di un fenomeno artistico a tutto campo che io allora non conoscevo ancora bene. Tutto questo mi ha spinto ad approfondire la conoscenza di Ferré grazie ai suoi dischi e ai suoi scritti. Nasce così l'idea di rileggere Ferré in chiave jazz e inizia così una serie di concerti, in Italia, Francia, Belgio. Poco per volta il progetto diventa collettivo: si uniscono al pianoforte di Cippelli il contrabbasso di Attilio Zanchi, la batteria di Philippe Garcia, la tromba di Paolo Fresu, e alla voce, il cantautore Gianmaria Testa, assai vicino per temi a Ferré e assai a suo agio con la Francia (ricordiamo infatti che il caso Testa nasce prima all'Olympia che da noi).
