I recently decided to give the Kindle app a try. At first I merely downloaded sample chapters, but then accidentally purchased (darn that 1-click!) a whole book. Fortunately the book, The Thirteenth Tale, is really, really good. I devoured the whole thing in a matter of days. I think I might like this Kindle app thing.
