hello from nashville. i'm here to do some work on the new album that just might be finished one day..tell your friends and neighbors.
i made my way here via aeroplane last night.
it was one of those flights where i became that guy..you know..the guy who snores and drools and whose head is bobbing every other minute due to sheer exhaustion.
that was me.
it was good entertainment for all around, no doubt.

i hope this finds you well.
we haven't talked much about the spiritual season that we're all engaged in called lent. the lenten season exists 40 days prior to the death, and ultimately the life of Jesus. i didn't grow up knowing much about it or recognizing it at all and yet i remember hearing a theologian ask "how can we celebrate the life of Jesus without first remembering and mourning his death?"
that hit me in the gut.
i hope for all of us this time becomes a season to step back, scale back, simplify, and remember that we die with Christ so that we can live.

i did want to say thanks to our friends in columbia,sc.
we had a blast in the capital city last weekend and hope to make it back east in the fall when the new rsb recording comes out.
