In preparation for our wedding day, Jessica and I spent a tremendous amount of time working on Film For A New July. These are several short films created for use at our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, and wedding reception. It originated with the idea and challenge to somehow creatively introduce our wedding party in a way that no other wedding party has ever been introduced before. More importantly, the idea was not only to introduce our friends and family to those in attendance, but to intentionally and intimately share why these individuals were so influential to us, and how our relationship with them has impacted our relationship with Jesus Christ. Jessica and I presented each member of our wedding party with individualized copies of Film For A New July DVDs as gifts/keepsakes on the night of our rehearsal dinner. This is the film for my best man, Daniel Gilbert.
