I am a singer-songwriter from Knoxville, TN. Sometimes I play piano but I usually play guitar. Sometimes I sound folk, but sometimes people say it's more americana... the later at night I play, the more alt-country it is, and when I play outside, they say it's folk-rock. My mom thinks it's awesome, no matter where or when it is.
I have two albums out. One is called "lower than the angels" and was produced by Andrew Osenga. It rocks in places. In other places, it folks. Occasionally, it folkrocks. I really like this record and I think you will too. My other record is called "the bluegrass service". It's as if you were in a church service, but instead of a rock band playing Chris Tomlin songs, it's a top-notch bluegrass band playing songs by Bob Dylan and Gillian Welch and Hank Williams. I'm pretty fond of this little record also. You should know that my mom really likes them both.
I once wrote and recorded 52 songs in 52 weeks. One a week for a year. I put them on the internet... you can probably find them if you look. It was incredibly challenging but I learned how to write somewhere in there (which is why some of those 52 songs are horrible and some of them are pretty good).
I am currently recording two new albums. The first is an americana / folk album that I am recording in Asheville, NC. The second is a B-sides / outtakes / songs that don't fit on anything else kind of a record. I'm self-producing that one and recording it here in Knoxville. I hope to have both new records available on October 1st.
I'll be launching a big fall tour as soon as the records release... I'd love to come play in your town. Email my booking agent, and by booking agent, I mean me.
