In August, my husband and I welcomed our baby girl Lillian Genesis to the world. She is so precious, and we are so blessed. I love Jesus. I love His name...I love the rain, waking up to gray skies, strong coffee in the mornings, puffy morning eyes, my husband whom I prayed would be mine...Lillian, who I've been dreaming of. I love when she smiles, her silly toothless mouth and her one dimple. I love when she fake cries and throws fits... I love when she has pink lint between her tiny toes. I love steamed asparagus, renting different tv series and watching them all within a couple of weeks. I love Futurama (I would have dated Fry), Alias, the Office and Monk (I would have dated Monk too). I love ridiculous and true humor, my little mutt Alex, my little hound dog Bradley, the smell of his paws which smell exactly like corn chips (hence, his occasional nickname). I love BBQ sauce with my french fries. I love guacamole. I love the Awakening and the wonderful friends God has blessed me with there, the rest of my beautiful friends all over the country (and one in Guam...), their prayers and love. I love coffee/cigar bashes until 4 am...I love earth tones, mascara and Burt's Bees chapstick. I love hot pickles and theater pickles, warm beds and mini heaters. I love snakes, lizards and tarantulas (I caught one once but we accidentally killed it...it was devastating. Poor thing...). I love my Dad, my step-mom, mom, my sister and brothers. I love big families even though I didn't really come from one. I love Quentin Tarantino flicks, flip flops all year round, argyle socks up to my knees, showing them off to everybody, italian nachos, and knitting. I love hard core music when it's for Jesus. I love Blindside. I wish I was Christian Lindskog often...I love the guitar especially when it's Stephen playing it. I love days when I feel cute. I love poetry and reading. I love my handwriting. I write things over and over on paper. Simple things, like my name over and over again. I love Wal-Mart at either 2 am or 6 am. I love the Disney Channel, I love pasta and I wish I ate healthier food...I love imitating accents, which probably isn't the best habit to have, but it spices conversations up a bit. I love Stephen's eyes, his smile, his laugh, his belly. I love America's brave soldiers...I want to adopt children from other countries very, very soon...I love the smell of white out, permanent markers and cement glue. I love modesty on women and I wish I was a samuri. On a different note... I HATE the sun in my eyes, blustery days when my hair is perfect, wet pants, stepping in poop, when people clip their fingernails in public places. I hate when those places are my desk at work...I hate when people pronounce their coffee drinks wrong. For some reason, "mocha latte'" really chaps my hide. Just call it a mocha. We know what you mean. I hate roast beef unless it's Arby's and even then I can't look at it...I hate it when people stick up for chickens and trees and not unborn babies...I hate not understanding why things happen the way they do. I hate having my heart broken...I hate slow drivers and fast drivers, I don't care much for sporty cars or sporty spice (even though she used to be my favorite). I hate onions, carrots, celery, black licorice and cherries. I hate when food that isn't supposed to be cold is and I bite into it and have to spit it back out onto my plate. I hate when people spit their food back onto their plates... I hate biting my nails, I hate the fear of having my luggage lost when flying. I hate sitting in the sand at the beach and it getting stuck in my swimming suit. I hate losing touch with old friends. I hate hating school, I hate cold french fries, I hate when they don't put BBQ sauce in the bag for my french fries. I hate when light bulbs burn out, I hate when my favorite clothes get stains on them. I hate doing the dishes and sometimes vacuuming, depending on my mood. I hate the street sweepers that drive past my window at 2 am, people who think they're gangsters, men who whistle and stare at girls who aren't asking for it. I hate when girls ARE asking for it by dressing the way they do and then getting mad when men whistle and stare, feminism and soggy pancakes. I hate them.
