Saw the Cubs beat the Giants 9-8 on Thursday despite Barry "Steroid" Bond's two home-runs. Going back tomorrow to see the Cubbies beat up on the AZ Diamondbacks.
Thursday was my 30th birthday. I took batting and fielding practice at Wrigley before the game and got the whole bench to autograph the ol' baseball. Had a complimentary meal and drinks before the game too! Let me tell you there is no better way to turn 30 then at Wrigley.

Wow, Lous seems to have lost control of everything. Oh well, we've got Old Style and Wrigley right?

It only got worse. How the hell do you blow a four run lead and then walk the winning run in at the bottom of the ninth.
Instead of walking in the final run, Wuertz should have just tagged Delgado between the shoulders with a fast ball. Yeah I know my sportsmanship is lacking, but what the hell I would have felt better about it.

Two in a row, and one was in St. Louis. Go Cubbies!
CORRECTION: Three in a row, the last TWO in St. Louis.
UPDATE: This is a little off color but I am thinking the Cards treat their pitching staff worse then we treat ours.

So as a Cubs fan, do I pick Soriano with the number 1 pick in my fantasy league draft over Pujols? Struggling with loyalty here... help me out.

that's a tough one. luckily, i was 3rd to go in our draft and was able to snag soriano. i probably would have picked up pujols if i went first though.

Just sat through an hour wait to get Cub/Cardinal tickets on 4/29 in St. Louis. I've never been to the new Busch stadium, pretty excited about that.
