I haven't written in awhile. And this really isn't all that great. At all. But I hope you enjoy it anyways.
:: Your Own Philosophy::
The grass is wet and I have no place to sit
And write about you, my love
I miss your voice; Time has passed since
I've last seen your face, my love
But maybe it's all for the better
Maybe I'll grow not to care
Just as you've been doing all this time
My love
And when you ask
My answer is the same as yours
A slender nothing that rather matches your soul
A shrug of the shoulders all arctic cold
And when you wonder
No, I won't wait around to see
You are your own philosophy
And I don't agree
Oh, how could you be so careless
With your affection, my love
Can't you tell I'm too eager to bless
The ground you walk on, my love
But maybe it's all for the better
Maybe I'll stop being blind
Just as you have been all this time
My love
Oh, how could you be so reckless
With your own precious heart, my love
So ready to give it away for a kiss
Gone in an instant, my love
But maybe it's all for the better
Maybe next time you won't be so naive
Just as I have been all this time
My love
And when you ask
Your rhetoric begs for an answer
The sooner it comes, the sooner you forget
Any inconvenience you dust from your shoulder and reject
So why should I wait and wonder
At whatever it is you've come to be
You are your own philosophy
And I don't agree
