In Midtown, I think somewhere near 8th and 9th and Spring, there's a private parking garage connected to the Publix. The top level of the parking garage may be good. You'll just have to find a way through. I knew somebody living in the condos there, but he moved to New York yesterday.

Piedmont Park is a good place to shoot the tops of the skyskrapers and such.
You see the buildings peeking out over the lush, green goodness!
I enjoy the view.. especially right before sunset :)

Thanks Beth, that is actually one I do know of. it seems to be a popular spot too. Whenever I'm there I either see a band getting photos or a couple doing photos for their engagement. I have not tried the sunset time though.
