I live in Washington and remember when the original starbucks was the only starbucks or should I say "Coffee Tea and Spices". Maybe i'm spoiled because of where I live, I know that not everyone has coffee shops everywhere like we do. (for instance, the town I grew up in has a population of 2000 and has 2 coffee stands and you can also gett espresso in the grocery store, snowboard shop, and gas station). but Starbuck's coffee is mediocore at best. I have to order specific drinks that it will be hard for them to mess up. Like 20oz 4 shot rasberry mocha breve. There are tricks to good coffee! and they do not use them. First off get a better coffee roast and stop burning the hell out of it!!!! Something like Vinaccios maybe? If you are coming to Seattle please go to Cafe Vita or " Espresso Viancc !! So i'm sorry but people please! - Starbucks is not even close to where it's at! get some real coffee..

Anyone else notice a (positive) change at their local starbucks?
Ever since corporate talked about getting back to the core values they envisioned for each starbucks store I have noticed the location I frequent is once again a more neighborly feeling... make me all warm and fuzzy inside like a triple gande cappuccino in my belly :)

Funny enough, as much as I love Starbucks, I'm not really a coffee guy. I don't really count a Frappuccino (my drug of choice) as a coffee drink, it's more of a milkshake in my world. But I have developed quite the obsession for Venti White Chocolate Mocha espressos with Raspberry syrup and equal parts milk. :P :D It's heaven. I'm such a pussy.

So...I read last night where Starbucks has decided to close 600 of their company-owned stores. I haven't been to a Starbucks in at least a week, myself...gas is just too expensive for me to drive out to get little indulgences such as this. Anyone else cut back on their Starbucks fix?

I've found that I'm doing business with the local guys here in G-Vegas (Liquid Highway, Spill the Beans, Coffee Underground, Leopard Forest, etc.) and less with Starbucks and Port City Java, too...just got back from a trip to Denver and there's a starbucks literally on every other corner out there...they're a cancer, I tell ya.
