I think it's like I said - a reply gets hidden after a lot of responses from a busy group like WA (which is why quite a few people left the group) then when you check the overview, you don't realise that anyone has been commenting. So, it takes another more recent comment at a quiet time for people to realise that anything is going on.
I suspect what happened here was your comment or my answer was missed, then when someone else responded it would have shown in the overview and other people checked the group.
It happens a lot - I have groups that are more or less dormant, but if I choose one at random and post a comment, I could guarantee that there would be a reply - it's just that people don't want to go into the cold empty room if you like.
That's my theory anyway.
And I'm annoyed my answer was wrong!

if it's any consolation to you moo, i have been almost arrested for excessive speeding. when i first got my bike, the speed was amazing. about 3 times i have been chased by the police, but thankfully i picked the lesser of two evils, and was able to outrun them..

But yes - those bikes and speed seem to go together. I know Hol's boyfriend was in court recently for pulling a wheelie at some ridiculous speed past a policeman - he used the 'only use of one arm' trump card and got off with a fine, but was lucky not to lose his licence. And I'm sure my daughter will be exactly the same if her car driving is anything to go by...
I DO worry...

Way to go Mandy! I love skydiving. I recently decided to quit thanks to 2 people dying at the same place I jump. But, wow it is a huge rush. I recommend doing it at least once.

I do ski in the winter a bit, but not every weekend and my good friend has Rockies season tickets. to which i attend half the games.

it is 3. i ate fried worms on a dare, grew up in florida where snakes were rampant, as a kid, about 2-3 years old, i was an avid climber and in the middle of the night i would shimmy out the windows and roam the neighborhood. mom, (mum for you moo) found out about this when i was ringing the doorbell of a friend 3 blocks away at 3 am. she slept outside my door for about 3 months, but never leashed me, and i was in the navy and traveled quite a bit.
