I took a Street Photography class last October -- It was sweet. All we did was walk around downtown for five Saturdays, and spent one inside screwing around with Photoshop. That class was what got me into photography.

This is a scanned 35mm printed by me straight from the darkroom, rather than a digital, so I apologise for the quality :P

That's a great shot.

Didn't see the guy hanging off the building at first but then he came out of nowhere.

ha. pretty much what happened. I was originally trying to take a pic of that weird piping with all the arrow signs, until I saw the window cleaner :)

Amin says:

The piping is quite odd, and the shadow is shaped much like the piping. Interesting shot!

I took my two- and four-year-old sons to New York City yesterday. For the most part I was carrying, chasing, and pushing the boys around. In between, I had time to take a few photos of the sights. I used the GX100 with built-in B&W JPEGs (wanted to try this instead of shooting RAW as usual), snap focus and ISO 80-200. I blew a ton of highlights and should have dialed in more negative EC. Anyway, here's the set - comments and critiques always appreciated: http://www.flickr.com/photos/asabet/sets/72157600370195483/show/

One interesting couple I came across:
