All I need is my 1GB 1st Gen Nano. In black, of course. And My JVC HA-F 120 earbuds (let's face it, the stock earbuds kinda blow).

Question: Is it possible to get the mini-player for iTunes on a Mac?

Am I just being dumb?

joachim says:

are there people really using their ipod to watch movies on the road?
isn't it a lot of work to convert your dvd's and avi's to the ipod format and then watching it on a little screen...
just wondering :-)

I have The Beatles' Yellow Submarine on my iPod, and I do actually watch that on the road! (Same goes for a few episodes of The Chasers' War On Everything.)

If you've got a Mac, then ripping and converting DVDs is easy but just takes time. I'd definitely say it's worth it for your favourite movies/live DVDs/television shows. :D

Though it has provided years of workhorse dependability, my 4th-gen 20GB finally ran out of space yesterday. It still works fine, but I don't like having to run a zero-net-effect game where I have to remove an album to add a new one. I'll probably spring for an 80GB soon and rip my full CD collection.

some years ago i got a 40gig g2 ipod, with my whole collection of cd's on it... today i use a 4gig nano, updating it randomly... waiting for the day there's a 160gig ipod, which can hold my whole collection ;-)

@ joachim

160gigs of music? o__o Well, colour me impressed.

Do you rip your CDs at a very high bitrate or just have lots and lots of albums? Or a bit of both?

Who thinks we should have a white nano? Like, white aluminum (platinum? anyone?) with blue or orange symbols on the click wheel?
