Third Night of Prayer of Preparation//Thursday March 5

1 Peter 1:8-9 “Though you have not seen Him, you love Him. Though you do not now see Him, you believe in Him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”

1. Pray that though you cannot see the God of your salvation that the love you now have for Him would continue to increase and abound more and more and that Renown would be a spark to the engine of your love for Christ.

2. Pray that your life would be consistent with One who has inexpressible joy filled with glory because of your salvation in Christ. This means asking that the Spirit would mercifully expose sin in your life and that you may see where your life isn’t matching up.

3. Pray for an eager anticipation of the coming of Christ and the mentality of an exile and sojourner on this earth. Pray that Renown would be a joyous gathering of these happy exiles.

4. Pray for strength and steadfastness that you might attain the final salvation of your soul. This means asking God for power to be obedient to His Word and His calling on our lives as agents of the Gospel of Light.

5. Praise God for the salvation He has begun in you and which He will complete by His grace in Christ. Pray that what He has done in you will happen to others at Renown.

2 Corinthians 4:5 “For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.”

Second Night of Prayer of Preparation//Thursday Feb 26

Colossians 3:16-17 “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

1. Pray that God would be pleased with this gathering of people at Renown from different areas for the glory of His Son.

2. Pray that as we sing and praise our Lord that the worship that is taking place in our hearts would give us a passion to proclaim the gospel by which we were called.

3. Pray that as a gathered portion of the universal church that we may worship in a way that would spur us on to do all that we can for the glory of Jesus Christ.

4. Pray that as the Word is being preached that our worship would aide the preaching by continuing to imprint God’s Word on our hearts as we proclaim it.

5. Pray for the spiritual growth of the people in your group and that they would leave Renown 09 with a passionate obsession for Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:5 “For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.”

First Night of Prayer of Preparation//Thursday the 19th

Thursday. February 19. 7pm-9pm

Read Psalm 86:8-13 “There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours. All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your Name. For You are great and do wondrous things; You alone are God. Teach me Your way, O Lord, that I may walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your Name. I give thanks to You with my whole heart, and I will glorify Your Name forever. For great is Your steadfast love toward me; You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.”

1. Pray that God would open your eyes to behold the Wonder of who He is during this time of prayer and at Renown 09, but also not only your eyes but everyone in attendance. If you can think of any names of your friends pray for them specifically.

2. Pray a prayer of praise giving thanks to God for His mighty works and the wondrous things He has done. Write down some of His mighty works if you need to, and with your whole heart give thanks to Him and glorify Him for what He has done and has yet to do. Pray that we would see God as supremely great, standing alone in His glory and might.

3. Pray that God would teach us His ways that we may walk in His truth and that our hearts would be united to fear His Name. This includes praying for the speakers, the breakout sessions, the times of singing and the community groups. We want His truth to flood our minds and hearts.

4. Pray to the Lord and thank Him for His steadfast love that was displayed on the cross and that delivered your soul from the depths of Sheol. Pray that this message of steadfast love would deliver the lost in attendance at Renown and that we would take this message to the streets that all the nations that God has made may come and worship before Him.

5. If you are in a group ask everyone how they want God to move in their life at Renown and if you are by yourself write it down in your journal and pray that He would be at work in you during that time.

2 Corinthians 4:5 “For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.”
