Hello,
The first experimental, noise, electronic, improvised music database from Africa and Asia is online now, still not connected to the other pages of Syrphe.com, still not complete but already including more than 200 references !http://www.3point5.be/syrphe/african&asian_database.htm

I've heard plenty of noise music from Asia (Merzbow, Boris, eX-Girl, Boredoms etc) but i've yet to hear of any African noise music? Can someone point me in the right direction?

Hi, thanks for the question.
Well, basically when I think about noise from Asia it's everything except Japan, ahah. The scene is popular enough there.
I will be back to you later today or in the week about that (I'm not home within one week sorry !)
I just published a compilation including noise, experimental and electronic bands from Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Tibet, Algeria, Morocco, South Africa, Egypt, Lebanon, Israel, United Arab Emirates, China, etc 22 different countries. So I will give some links as soon as I can. I'm also writing a book about the scene over there.
There's not so much noise in Africa. The exception is South Africa, off course but North Africa is slowly changing. There are more punk and metal but still not so much (in North Africa but also Kenya, Mali, Botswana, Namibia, Madagascar.
I can already provide you a few names (will give the links later), not all are noise, some are industrial, electro-acoustic or electronic etc. : Half a moment (Morocco), Sphynx (South Africa, started around 1986 !), Mahmoud Refat, Hassan Khan (both from Egypt), Pure war (South Africa, also from the 80's), Nepa ios (Algeria), Gareth Dawson & Righard Kapp (South Africa), Jay Scott (South Africa, alos from the 80's), Djenjer (Morocco), etc.
So more info very soon !
