Hi fellow developers of Flash 8 platform

Im having the weirdest problem with my flash page

check this url ----http://www.collectivenetz.com/companydepartments.html

now the book when it appears slightly cuts off at the end and when u click enter the book opens and the books pages are out of sync.

now - hit refresh on internet explorer - and the page resizes normally to how I actually wanted the page and when u click enter the books pages are in sync - I honestly dont know what is causing this but if anyone in the forum has experience this problem before and tell me how to fix it I would be very grateful - because I really need to complete this web page as it is not complete yet but because of this page loading problem - it is driving me mad - so i have come to you real kind folks for help - please help me figure this one out - when I test the page in dreamweaver - it doesnt give me this problem - it is only when i put the page on the webserver that I get this behaviour from the webpage - that is why i am so mythed - because I preview all my pages before I upload them and usually I usally get the effect im looking for as in my previews as in what i put on the webserver but not in this page's case.

please contact me asap if u figure this one out.

ProVIRB: A new Virb community site is launching soon!

Hi all,

Just thought you'd like to know about ProVIRB - a new Virb community site some friends and I are working on.

We're hoping ProVIRB will be the number one place to go for Virb themes, modules and tutes. We've got some great features in the works which we're sure you'll dig.

So if you're interested, jump on the mailing list so we can keep you posted on our launch date (feel free to Digg us while you're there ;) ).

After signing up, head to our Virb profile and add us to your friends list. As the site progresses we'll be keeping our friends up-to-date via our home on Virb. We'll also be launching a private beta, and our first 500 friends will be invited to help us out with it (we're so Web 2.0)!

Cheers!

Oh the joys of skinning components...

Wanna change the border style? Well, you gotta add a bunch of ActionScript, create a new border movieclip, set up linkages etc etc etc.

ARRRGGGH.

4 hours later and I'm nearly done skinning a comboBox!

:(

haha, i find it's easier to build my own stuff than skin some component and all 50 billion of it's graphics. after a while, you end up with your own library of "components". i feel your pain.. .

that's one think I like about Flex, you can put the css style boom on all components pretty easy.
