Using a pod xt live as an all-in-one effects/amp sim.

Overall, I am pretty satisfied even though I do not pretend it to be as good as analog fx/tube amp. But it is more versatile for me and easier to carry everywhere.

Vox Tonelab. All-in-one amp/cab simulator with tube and all the standard effects.

The real joy of it is that you can play through any amp -- you already have an amp in your gig bag!

Dave says:

Haha, I wish... the amp was used and a steal at $450. The Strat was my brother's and the Jag was a gift for my 13th birthday oh so many years ago.

Olympic white Strat and it plays like a charm as well!

Kimberley Grey says:

I'm playing a fake Strat at the moment, but when I move to the U.K. next year and save for a little bit, I intend to buy the real deal. :D

Tremolo says:

LOL... I'm still on the first electric I ever had from many years ago: Squire Strat, black fake me out! You guys'll hate me for this - but, I tried my brother's Gibson and loved it. Something like that would likely be my next one. Once upon a time though, I wanted a Tex-Mex Fat Strat. Alas, no dinero.
