Go for it! Making it is actually the easy part, finding a place with really good ingredient on the other hand is mighty difficult. To make it even easier, go for temaki instead of maki sushi.

I've made nori, inari, and maki before out of several different materials. It takes a little practice but actually it's quite easy. I'm no itamae by any stretch of the imagination, though.

I recently saw a fishing show where the guys were deep-sea fishing.... After catching a mammoth yellow-fin tuna, they just lopped it open and enjoy some sashimi.
My eyes lit up in excitement, whilst my wife scowled in disgust. I always believed there is a little Gollum in all of us and this just proves it. I really, really wanted to eats the fisheses...
