Hello All. I don't have the Apple TV yet but will probably get it this month. One of the main concern I have is from some of the comments I have read about over heating. Have you found this to be a problem? Thanks.

It gets pretty hot due to the internal power supply. But, it hasn't over heated by any means.

Hi everyone. We sync it with a "big" mac ;) on which we buy tv shows on iTunes. The best tv experience ever. Recently we got hooked on youtube videos (of which there could be more..) Excellent strategic move to incorporate youtube. Everybody is just talking, Apple just does.

Have you guys noticed that your appleTV tends to turn itself on? I heard Adam Christanson from the Mac Cast mention it a couple days ago. The following day, I left for work; when I returned, my appleTV was on. Some component of the syncing must be causing it to turn on.

Howdy! Just got my appleTV this weekend. I didn't bother syncing any music to it, since my music library is well over 40 gig. I sync'ed everything else to it (movies, tv shows, etc). Since streaming works so well, I will just stream my music to it. I'm looking forward to trying some of those hacks, particularly the rss one.

I sync with my Wife's MacBook (less than 40GB) and stream everything else.
I have an older Power Mac G4 set up in the basement as a media server. I put a 320GB disk in it, and it serves TV, shows and movies (both purchased and time-shifted DVDs).

Share your experiences. How does your Apple TV work for you? Do you sync or stream?
