Wait -- I don't think the dramatic impact stemmed so much from Seymour's death as our realization that he continued to miss Fry long after the latter's disappearance. Regardless, it was a terrific episode -- and poignant in a way very few American cartoons are.

Alex, yeah I understand that. It was just how I identified the episode. Upon rewatching that one several times, I even started to cry when it shows Fry running and right before the flashback he was screaming, "He'd come back for me!"
