Well, that's incredible ! And I'm so glad you speak of it, for a moment I thought I was going straight round the bend solo. I see only too well what you describe as the science fiction angle. On my first serious run, having done my homework & read about it, I thought I was prepared for this alien abduction scenario that was to be played out. Not so.
I was, indeed, whisked away, somewhere across the hyper-spatial continuum, through vast amusement parks where looming clowns ignored my accelerated roller coaster ride through full blown mayhem (this was the fun part) to the heart of a saucer, where I was examined & given a mind transplant...... which went on for ages until it became painful & I had to sing & toke my way out of the situation. That was the idea. In fact, the entity we'll call the Mushroom kept me in the hot seat 'til the intervention was over. Then I made it to the mirror &, having looked, started walking like an alien. That was it. Perfect. And all the time I knew this was both a metaphor & a joke : a show put on for me, & that had a lot to do with brain chemistry whilst being also a sort of 101 starter course in symbiotic revelry.
Delighted at having survived the experience, I decided to do it again some months later. That's when the Mushroom started talking to me.
