Nostalgia

A yearning for things and times gone by

If you are nostalgic, often find yourself mentioning how much better/bigger/easier everything was 'back then', then this is probably the group for you. You don't even have to be old - things change and disappear so quickly these days, that yesterday's fad can be today's collectable.
Not everything changes for the better, but everything does change in some way.

Jog our memories, reminisce, tell us your favourite things, post up photos, google long-since vanished items; anything to transport us back to the 'good old days'.
Remind us how it used to be and what was good.

Dream on.

Anyone remember buying games for the Commadore 64. My brother and I used to by our games via "dot matrix print out." Our games were a stack of paper that we had to retype into the system then save onto several discs in order to play games.

I remember (actually - don't remember exactly) having a game called worms or ants ... was pretty basic but advanced for its time.

my favorite one is when he(she) talks about Barbara Walters being like butter.

"Barbara Walters is like butta, I just want to eat here up and watch her come out my dookie."

Gross but hilarious!!!

I once had a Commodore 64 - vaguely remember playing a game called worms or something on it...

Alex. says:

WORMS! My my that game got frustrating. I remember I came close to tearing my hear out as a kid because I couldn't get past this level where all the worms were named after diseases - smallpox, cholera and such ;)

One time I beat them though.
Yuss!

saw this tonight at a downtown restaurant that plays movies on their patio. definitely one of my top 5 favorite movies of all time... i can recite it word for word! i remember seeing it in the theater when i was 5 and i told my mom that i wanted to marry mikey. sadly, this dream was never realized, but sean astin remains one of my fave actors to this day. good times.

I love this movie and the music. Cyndi Lauper rocked this soundtrack.

@ lisa Oh no! You really NEED to watch this...

Funny thing... On Sunday I was having a debate with someone who said that the 80's was the worst movie decade ever. WHAT? More like one of the best ever... Well, I had a bunch of people come over to my side and this movie came up several times. Seriously, one of the best movies of all time. In fact, this should go on to my list of favorite movies. Consider it done.
