Hi, having been on Last.fm for a good while, and more recently iLike, i was really disappointed with VirbTunes. It should at least have some kind of eye candy for recent tracks and artists and such. Their systems are far more comprehensive and useful.

If you are using an older version of VirbTunes, it is recommended that you update to a new version. If not please submit a bugreport about this issue, putting the version of iTunes as well as windows version. Thanks.

I just downloaded virbtunes so I don't think I am using an old version... I even tried uninstalling it and then re-installing it. I get the error about every 2-3 minutes while itunes is playing. I will submit a bugreport now. :)

VirbTunes is fantastic--it essentially allows me to get rid of my Last.fm account and iScrobbler plugin, which I found to be buggy at best. Does anyone know if VirbTunes works with songs that have been played on an iPod and then updated later using iTunes? Thanks in advance.

Interesting you say that. I joined Last.fm not more than two weeks before I discovered Virb and I'm already thinking of getting rid of it. I do love VirbTunes.

We will be hoping to open up the API sometime shortly. Unfortunately I have been working a lot on the new version of Virb, and have not been able to get working on the API. Hopefully will be able to get more support soon.
