I don't know if it counts, but I've sent flat moo with my youngest to the top of Mount Snowden today. http://www.hightrek.co.uk/snowdon1.htm She didn't really want to take him as it seemed slightly embarrassing to her and she'll be with her friends who may laugh but I'm hoping that she will provide me with some photographic evidence that I can post up here.

one week until flat me (and real me) go to college. you'll definately get some interesting pictures out of that.
Everyone...may I introduce 'flat moo'. He (and I don't know why but he seems more of a 'he' - no udders or anything else for that matter) - he hasn't been anywhere yet but he did originate from Prague so he's pretty well travelled already.
Watch for his adventures and photos when he decides to roam...

My kids are going to Bolivia next week. Well, my flat kids. I can't wait to get the photo. I'll be sure to post it as soon as I get it--probably not until September or so.

The project was started in 1995 by Dale Hubert, a third-grade schoolteacher in London, Ontario, Canada. It is meant to facilitate letter-writing by schoolchildren to each other as they document what Flat Stanley has done with them.
The Flat Stanley Project provided an opportunity for students to make connections with students of other member schools who've signed up with the project. Students began by reading the book and becoming acquainted with the story. Then they make paper "Flat Stanleys" and keep a journal for a few days, documenting the places and activities in which Flat Stanley is involved. The Flat Stanley and the journal are mailed to other people who are asked to treat the figure as a visiting guest and add to his journal, then return them both after a period of time. The project has many similarities to the Travelling gnome prank.
Feel free to create your own version of Flat Stanely and post the results here for everyone to get a peek into your day-to-day life and the adventures of your Stanley.
