This year's nano challenge was a real battle. It's getting to the point, after four of these, where I am more confident in what I write in long form. So now it's of more value to me to write and finish a story that I can share with others than just write 50K words. That said, I won but only because I refused to not finish in time. My story's only 50% complete. Whenever I can overcome the urge to collapse into my nice warm bed every time I walk through the front door (which should be any day now), I plan sit down and write out a plot summary so that I can finish the story and not just... have 50,000 words. How did you do?
What now? As Chris Baty mentioned on the homepage here's a link to the December and beyond forum.
How is day 1 going for everyone out there?

Who are you on the NaNo site? My profile is http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/28128 if you wish to add me. Unfortunately the site is about as slow as frozen molasses right now, but I'm looking for some buddies (especially in the PST timezone) to do word wars with at some point. That seems to help me get a lot of words down. Best efforts, all!
Who else can hardly wait 'til October 1st for the new NaNoWriMo site launch? I have no idea what I'm going to write about, but that's no reason to worry at this point. My username is kwas if anyone wishes to add me.
how many of you people have done it, and how many are just planning to in fast approaching november? I did it last year, but sadly only managed half the requisite word count.
