Any of you illustrators out there use an artist rep? What can you tell me about your experiences with them? How willing are they to take on unpublished artists? Anyone in particular to avoid?

thanks!

I never worked with a representant, but I think you could try, you got nothing to loose_ An english illustrator made me notice that if you work directly with your clients you can better understand their needings_

most assuredly the second one.

Yes, the second one has the best sense of depth, via its contrast and use of color. The first one- the whale gets a little lost- and, because of the story, we need to see the 'White Whale' as being white. Nice work.

auntybody says:

The second is more striking, with the balance of emphasis between man/whale being more equal.
Plus i like that the brush strokes[?] of the background give a sense of being out of place and turmoil.

Ok! Surrealistic sky wins 3-0_ Thanx for your comments, I agree with your choice_

9 Seperate Blocks on one print. This sucker takes forever to print;)

Block Printing Final

Any feedback would be awesome as it's my first real block printing experiment.

Cheers,

I like it very much, this technique has a lot of potential, but... The first pic (top left) sounds really weird to me, is it a wanted effect or is it just less readable than the others?!?
