I WAS working for a vet's office for 3 years which was OK, my coworkers were mostly pretty cool, the clients were sometimes AWFUL (but the patients were what made it OK, I LOVE animals!) So my life just fell apart about 2 months ago when I sort of both quit and got fired from this job. Long story, don't want to bore you... in brief the office manager was not very bright and over 3 years I ended up DREADING being called into the office because I never knew if it was just to sign a birthday card or be written up for some random thing (and i tried VERY HARD to be a good employee! I really did). So I finally go to the end of my rope and BOOM goes my life! Oddly, i still have a good relationship with the rest of the company, including BOTH the owner's! But the office manager CRIED and said I was mean... and thus her descision stood.
It's been about 2 months, and I am surviving. just wanted to let you know no matter how black things look, they always get better! I am GLAD this happened now, I am working part time at a Doggy Daycare, and I am working my own business in all my other time!
I'm sick of the corporate merry go round, and I am getting OFF. My business is a work at home, which I chose specifically because it is NOT a get-rich-quick scheme! I quit smoking 4 weeks ago (quit my Dunkin donut's habit too, figured I'd have a headache anyways from cigarette withdrawal!), and with the $60 a week I am saving from stopping these bad habits and my part time job I am floating along and growing my business! If you're sick of the CYCLE (because I have been thru this crap over and over and over again in the corporate world!) you might want to consider reputable work at home opportunities!
I'm not trying to be a jerk and spam or anything, but everyone has to be as sick of this crap as me! I don't want to post links or anything, but if anyone wants info on how I am managing this, send me a message. i just started at this so I don't have my own blog or anything yet.
