The Dark Knight

"My face... on the one dollar bill."

For the only real comic hero there is. We wait, and count the days until Nolan's next work. Heath, you've been honored... now bring us the greatest villian of all time.

To be honest, I think that it's a HUGE risk puttin Heath as the Joker, but I do think he is going to be good.

How about that teaser??http://www.whysoserious.com/

"Some men aren't looking for anything logical. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn."

Now THAT's the Joker.

Action Hero Design says:

Ledger has been studying the Joker from the Alan Moore comic "The Killing Joke", where the joker is more evil and creepy. If he sticks to the character, then he should do a good job. Go grab the comic...it's great!!

Ledger's casting will either fall like a tone of bricks or be a stroke of genius.

Brandon Rike says:

When I first heard Heath Ledger was the new Joker - I immediately thought of the standard Heath Ledger. Since I had just watched Brokeback Mountain, this was the immediate image of Ledger that I got. Sick, twisted, demented Joker was not the image that came to mind.

However, after I thought about it, I remembered Ledger playing "Skip" in Lords Of Dogtown. Now, if you've seen LOD, you'll know that Ledger turned into a completely different person -- so much so that I don't even think of Heath Ledger being in that movie. If Heath plays Joker with the same commitment that he played "Skip", then he will be a fantastic Joker. I cannot wait.

Here's a popular image of the new Joker that's been floating around the internet. Check it out:

The Bohemian at Large says:

I was reading up on what will be the best super-hero film ever, and Nolan was saying that the Penguin is hard to mesh into "reality". Why not take an approach like the animated series and make him a sleazy nite-club owner? There's some possibilites there.

J Tyler says:

Yeah I think there's also potential in just making him a simple mob boss with a lot of political power in Gotham. Gangsters have nicknames all the time...this happens to be a short fat fellow that looks like a penguin.
