Related to another superhero...but interesting anyway: NYC is celebrating the release of the new Spider-Man movie with a week-long, city-wide spidey party. It's officially Spider-Man Week.
Now I'm biased of course because I live here, but because the Batman films are mostly filmed in Chicago, I vote Chicago welcomes the Dark Knight release with Batman Week. Chicago isn't exactly Gotham City, I know, but apparently we're getting there.

There is only one way that this movie could be any better. I am not convinced that Zimmer is the man for the job. James newton howard is the man...just never really sold on Zimmer.

As you have no doubt already heard, Aaron Eckhart has signed on to be Harvey Dent who will later, of course, become Two-Face.
It is rumored, though probably true, that Maggie Gyllenhaal will sign on to replace Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes. We can only hope, right?
A lesser known tidbit, the character Renee Montoya will be in The Dark Knight as well. She was created for the original Batman: The Animated Series, and has been an occassional character in the comics since. No news on who will play her.
