...so...one of the biggest things that has been on my mind and heart lately. I grew up in the christian movement...and was subsequently taught that homosexuality is a sin. Last year I spent an amount of time serving as youth pastor in a very small church. Out of my 25 students I had 5 that were either practicing homosexuals/bi-sexual or very confused about their sexual identity. It was at this point that several of my presuppositions about the Bible's perspective on homosexuality were confronted. Since that time I have really been trying to come to grips with this idea of a person's sexual orientation and whether or not it is a sin. as it stands right now, I'm leaning towards the perspective that what we view as homosexuality is NOT considered a sin in the bible. what do you think?

The Areopagus Project exists as a model for people to expresss thoughts on different topics relevant to their lives, inviting others to share, opinions, beliefs, convictions and ideas. This is not a group designed for one particular group. Equal opportunity is granted in all cases, whether a person expressing thoughts is the most fundamental of fanatics or the most open-minded of explorers. If everyone has value, than everyone has something to offer. Grace is expected. Thought is anticipated.
