Ok. so as far as I can go without blabbing the plot:

Jack Sparrow is dead. So Will, Elizabeth, and Barbossa (yes, Barbossa!) go off to find him! They find him in the desert stranded on the Black Pearl. They all set off to the land of the living where Barbossa calls together the Brethen and tries to ralley them to fight Davey Jones and Lord Beckett. But all is not as it seems when Will deceives Jack and Jack deceives Barbossa and Elizabeth deceives Will ... and on and on it goes. Lies set a number of people's plans in motion. But the worst of these is Lord Beckett's. He hopes to send Jack back into Davy Jones' barnacle-encrusted embrace and violently wipe the pirate nation from the face of the earth.

Interestingly enough, I guess we've all come to expect after the first movie that the lies are what keep us on our toes. That's what makes it addicting, isn't it? The fact that we don't have a clue who the good guys are. Everyone keeps changing sides, and justifying their actions. It's just wild.

I'm not an expert when it comes to visual effects, but I thought there were some pretty good ones. Like (*Spoiler!!!*) when the guy's frostbitten toe snaps off! That made me cringe!

All aside though, I'm not sure I actually like the way they ended it. It was very open-ended. It was kind of dissapointing. But it's no big deal if you're a hardcore Pirates fan.
