I like it,but I don't think the illustration of the bird, in the foreground, communicates well with the message since it looks more like a falcon type bird than a pigeon.

law7355 says:

it is a falcon. They use one in the mornings to try get rid of the pigeons in Trafalgar Square, then by the afternoon the dirty li'l sky-rats are all back, drawn by the tourists with their bread and photo opportunities.

It's pretty much a naff job the falcon's got, 'cos if it works it's for like 2 hours tops... It totally hinders the nature of the bird, yet he always come back to his blindfold and leash...

You're right though, the message is probably a bit confused, I think I was trying to project a particularly crappy week at work on the falcon.

Ahh.. Trafalagar Square. Not a place to go if you've just watched Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds". I miss London.

JOSE says:

it honestly looks more like a poster of some sort than an actual cd cover, maybe bc the image is so dominant and the format is vertical.

I think the "E" in "The" should be pulled little bit away from the top of the "H" in method b/c for some reason the stoke to the h looks like a p so I read thep.I don't know.haha.

I REALLY dig what you did with the photograph and I like the photograph itself. But from my side of view the typography really needs some more work. Maybe you did this for contrast-reasons but I personally don't like that "glossy" photoshop look of the type in combination with the really classy (and awsome) atmosphere of the photo-material. I`d try to use some sort of more "organic" or a handmade or handwritten type.

i_am_CHAKA says:

I have looked at this over a dozen times. I like the concept and the layout so far. I am curious if you added some more contrast, like maybe a little bit of actual black to the piece. Not sure, but I would definitely experiment with it. Also, I have given this criticism to a couple of other people already, I really start to question the integrity and the use you your actual hand in this piece. It looks like a photo psd with ps brush work all over it. For example, the jagged brush tool marks on the eyes and the dog are kind of unconvincing. This piece is begging for some hand work in it, like make those scratches on some paper and then scan them and place them into the document over the eyes and the dog. Your best tool is you hand.

I would try it sometime. Keep at it bro.

like I said...it was a possible piece that I was thinking of using. That is why it wasn't the correct shape for an album cover, and also why it didn't look very "finished"...this is what I came up with

#3 is my favorite, and #2 right behind. Good, strong colors; really nailed the lighting and contrast in those two.

you should put together a photo book where you just shoot things (i like the building subject matter personally) flat on like the last 3 photos. They look great, and there would be something interesting about seeing head on photos on a bunch of flat pages. Nice work
