ha! love finding random things and thinking, the same thing. i have a whole file cabinet full of found objects that would make great design subject matter.

when I set them up and shot them...it just fell into place. Made me want to rifle through my old toy box when I was visiting home! I never get tired of that kind of discovery (especially when it works).

Is that a stock photo or something you've taken, 'cause if it's you where is that flippin cool looking place?

Love it, but I think it would be better with out the low opacity box behind the text.
The colors are gorgeous!

you know I thought the same thing but everytime I take it out it just feels empty... but you may be right and I have just looked at it too much. thanks for the critique though!

oh and that's a stock photo. I wish it was something I had taken ha ha. or even somewhere I had been!

Maybe if you frame in the box with a thin stroke the color of the text and bring down the opacity of the white box? If you darken the sky a wee bit you might be ablt to catch pieces of it through the lowered opacity.
just a thought.
Good choice on teh photo even if it is stock;)

I maybe second the thin stroke idea. It could work if the text was white and it was a light grey stroke on a lowish opacity, but then that'd change the whole look of it. Hm.
Oh!
Or maybe a square black box in the middle with the text on white inside. I'm thinking of Channel 4 (UK TV station) adverts. Like zis.
Whaddya reckon?

well done
although the themes don't make me feel happy
for the second one to be really convincing the background should be darker
not enough contrast

I like the concept and images. Although, I think the saturation in the snakes should be dropped juuust a little bit and I don't know about the smoke coming from the models armpit. Looks kind of awkward, B.O. ?

I love it...the lighting, the pose and expression. I love the type colors. If I may be so bold; I might make the "say ooh designs" line a bit larger just for separation purposes. It has a very sophiticated yet fun feel. I think it's great!

I think the whole thing looks great. Been reading too many typography books lately, made me nit-picky. The feel and energy this projects is terrific, you did a great job! I imagine the client is very happy.

i completely understand, typography is so important! victor keeps asking me if he can mess with her type on this! i did ask her last night if we could alter it and she said go for it! i have about 30 other photos from this day that turned out wonderful as well. i've put in a a few hours of sifting through them and beginning to edit them into a vintage feel, but i need victor to come in now and help me do the real editing stuff.
