Hello Everyone,

For those of you who don't already know, we spent a few months last summer in a recording studio in Los Angeles, CA, creating our new album, Armada. Once it was completely finished and mastered in March of '08, we did what most bands do, and went out to showcase and meet with all of the relevant record labels in the country. We had some great responses and received several offers to release the album.

When we began thinking about going down that road with a label again, we couldn't help but reflect on the time we spent sitting around on our last label, and not putting a record out. We remembered that the reason we put every dime we had to our names into Armada was because we wanted to make the best album we believed we could for our fans. We realized that the simple excitement of watching someone fall in love with our songs and the way that we wrote them wasn't worth the abundance of money we could possibly gain with the guidance of a record label.

For us, the idea of handing over this album that we are so proud of to people who would decide what they thought of it... not based on the actual songs, but out of fear for their job, seemed like a crime. It seemed like a step backward. We have always understood that you make your music and leave it up to the fans to love or hate it. We just want to make sure that the songs they will love or hate are actually the songs we wanted on this record, and not the songs that a label decided were the "right" songs.

With all that being said, we have come to a decision as a band that we are very excited about. We have decided to put the fate of our band in the hands of genuine music fans and not the hired guns at a flailing record label. We are extremely excited to announce that we are releasing our debut full length, Armada, on our own... and it goes up for pre-sale tomorrow morning, JUNE 31st!
