Hi ! Wanted to invite you to check out the new trailer for my film Vana Espuma over at my profile... incidentally this film is based on my comicbook of the same name. You can find more about my work athttp://www.wakingshadows.blogspot.com andhttp://www.wakingshadows.com ... you'll find more links on my profile. Waking Shadows is a graphic novel and feature film trilogy I've got in the works...
And my intro: My favorite comics are Watchmen, Akira, Dark Knight Returns (strikes back felt too rushed if ya ask me), Batman Year One, Bilal and Gaiman's work, and the Calvin and Hobbes strips.

What's up? I've been writing comic scripts for sometime but have been getting side tracked with work. I freelance for a newspaper and (thankfully) they keep me busy. I'm looking to jump back into it and work with an artist to start something up and self publish. I've got tons of ideas that range in genres.

Thought I'd introduce myself, too! :) I've always drawn since I was small but ended up in web design. Now, I am trying to get graphic novel put together (and podcasting about it) but it's tough doing it on a part time basis. I'm new to Vibr and joined a few illustration groups hoping it will motivate me to reach my goal! So far I've seen quite amazing talent around here!

My site ishttp://www.superspud.com and I also have an illustration portfolio there.

after reading Dark Tower I feel a bit empty so I thought I'd ask this around: what book(s) are you currently reading and why would you recommend them?

see if anything close to an opinion can come out of this

So, what was everyone's pick of the week this week. I had a good week, but I think I have to go with New Avengers 31 by default. Great twist, and I'm very pumped about it after reading this article: http://comics.ign.com/articles/796/796467p1.html
World War Hulk was ok, I'll probably keep reading it, but it didn't blow me away and the art wasn't that great.
Countdown is getting better so that's a plus.

I've only been buying compilations this week because I have to go out of town to get any single editions and I'm toooooooo skint. I finally finished my preacher collection though, "Alamo" is sooooooo good. I'm gonna have to start reading the original punisher too.

This week it's been all about Sinestro Corps man, that book is awesome cause I like seeing evil take over through unexpected means. Another one I would recomment, but it's monthly is Silver Surfer Requiem. That book is like a breath of fresh air, simply because it makes Spider-Man look like a more complex character than he really is nowadays (and even then it's a stretch) and the illustrations in it are amazing!

Yesterday I picked up Dynamo 5 #1, I thought it was pretty good, but before I start looking all over Knoxville's three comic book stores (seriously were not that big of town how did we get so many) for the back issues I wanted to know if you all thought it was worth it to get onto this book.

Knida reminded me a bit tooo much of Teen Titans but I hear that they are a pretty good read, like not to heavy but have all the right moves.
