this has very little to do with anything but have any of you ever had the "would you trade your dad for steve jobs to be your dad?" conversation with anyone? youd be surprised how many people wouldnt.

I never really knew my dad, so why not I will take Steve. But to be honest I would be more surprised if everyone wanted to trade there dad for Steve or for any other person for that matter.

I wouldn't trade my Dad for him, but I'd be down to marry him.
Steve, will you marry me? (also, if you see this, hook me up with an iPhone, thanks).

A downside to being Steves son/daughter is, you can't tell a single detail about unreleased products.

I heard it was coming out almost the same day as Creative Suite 3 near the end of march, but I am never right on these things

It was SUPPOSED to launch in March. But it keeps getting pushed back.
There is no public release date, yet.

MacRumors had 20 or so people tip that it would be the same day as CS3, but for now, it's only a rumour

From a developers standpoint...it's got some serious and nasty bugs and if Apple had top secret features like over hauling a UI and still didn't include them in the developer I would say not till late summer maybe even fall. But since the developers convention is in June rather than August, it's very possible that it will be at the convention.

MacBook Pro
15"
2 GHz
2 GB RAM
100 GB HDD
And I still love it, despite: dead battery within the first 3 months; whining; defective board behind the display; defective power adapter-plug; defective RAM
All repaired now, but still ... Steve likes to give me tough love.

I'm joining the group, but I do not own a macbook, yet.
I'm waiting for the launch of leopard and the "santa rosa platform."
But I can't decide if I want black or white.

good call with waiting... it's so close!
you do know there is a performance difference with the color of the MacBook? If you can afford it, get BLACK!
posted Mar 8
Brian Burns says:
You're semi right. More like a bigger harddrive for the black one.
The one I'm getting (I'm basing this off of todays models) is
with a 2GB RAM update.
And isn't it rumored to have bigger harddrives in the next macbook model, which may be coming out with Leopard? I'm ok with 80GB. If they upgrade, I sure won't mind more. ;)
On that note, I don't care too much to pay $200 just for a different color.

[duh] Keeks says:
Not really sure. I was at a ranch in Solvang for the week, so I had to bring along my mac. When I got up there, I turned it on to try out their wireless, and the top half of the screen was working, while the bottom half was distorted.
I took it into the Apple store at the Grove when I got back, and the guy said it could easily be fixed. Three weeks later (yes, three weeks), I get a call saying they can't fix it because they need a part they can't order. So, they had to replace it.
I never really found out what was wrong with it. I don't even think they knew?
