There should be a way to control how many comments appear on your page, without having to delete them.
For instance...
$VIRB_Comments(5, 3 random)
...with 5 being the number of the most recent comments displayed, and 3 additional randomly selected comments also being displayed.
in addition, I think it would be way cool if we could actually custimize the layout of our actual blog page, instead of it reverting to that institutionalized, sterile white theme.

Having several blogs, it would be nice if I could have 2 external ones pulled into VIRB, not just one (though this feature is great by itself).

Under favorites, it says I have "3 favorite photos," but only 1 photo shows up? I'm guessing it's because the other two photos have been deleted by the owner of said photos... but shouldn't this be reflected in the # of favorites I have too? Either that or someone please prove to me that 3=1.

Well, I have several hundreds of "likes"... I did check the catagories in which I have relatively fewer items, but nope, didn't find anything weird.

thanks Jon... I do hope for Virb2. And thxs the rest of the guys for the input.
I Do have another request, a MAJOR one - which is to fix the bug on the music player. I have interacted with some of the musicians... one main reason they moved from myspace to virb is because it looked a lot more presentable (a fact we all know, needn't spell it out...), for listeners and vendors or even labels to check them out. Thus they made an effort to do up a proper profile, a proper write-up, used virb account as their main "check me out" sample site. As a listener, my experience is very frustrating when the player stopped at the 3rd track, 50 percent of the time. At the most to the 4th or 5th track. It will stopped loading. As a result, you have to refresh the page, and scroll down to the 5th song I want to listen to.. wait for it to buffer.. by then I would have lost my interest and leave virb to elsewhere. I've never listen to the whole entire 15 tracks. Perhaps you guys have a different objective when comes to these networks, I certainly do know mine.. discovering great tunes. It's a realization & pattern I've discovered why I hangout more on myspace & virb more than on Facebook, LiveJournal / bebo/ Twitter. The truth is Tom recently had made an (great) improvement on the music player... I'd do hope virb would too. Just go around... ever wonder why there is always a 0 (zero) play on these virb music players compared to myspace's player's (which only allows up 4/5 tunes on one player max.) Same artiste, same fans, different site, different play count. Maybe virb is new... lesser fans, these I can understand, but the play count should not be ZERO. ?!?
Nuff said. Bottom line, I still want to enjoy these music experiences here and there wherever these independent artistes are.
Much admiration and respect for them.
Not sure what to expect for virb2... hopefully better for the users and not just more functions for virb-iPhones-activity.
that's my 2 cents worth. :) cheers!

camino/firefox/safari on Leopard, opera/firefox on XP. last glitch i experienced was that i couldn't comment on profiles. lasted one day. turns out that about 2% of users were affected, so even if i don't have that music problem, that doesn't mean a lot ;)

lol..yea... I've read your announcement. It was a pleasant read thru. ;)
I guess there are always glitches and the Virb tekkies have tried their uppermost to tackle it! ;p I'm almost sure they are up to something, they seems brilliantly fun, confident and the least geeky bunch of all other social network. (my impression.) Just look at the white & grey interface. They know SPACE.
The music thing... well. it's just a suggestion and a 'wish' that I had since the day I'd joined Virb - Back of my head... I was like... "dammnit...this shit is so close to perfection." ;p
PS. ... Should Virb v2.0 ever have an 'online' indicator... pls include an option of 'invisble'. I'm kinda like the way it is now. Last 'login' is fine. Whatever it is ..... hope to hang out here more often than on last.fm or myspace. music music music musick... ALWAYS>. :) It's a big lure for me. And also hope to attract more experimental talented musicians to come here. I'll hunt. :)

Hi there.. thanks to Netsui..:) I'd just get to know this group.
I know that if someone is not on my friendlist... he/ she can still post a comment to me, which is fine by me. But one of them gets a little out of control. Just wanna kindly check if there is a spam button on virb ?? That might helps to stop the harassment.

It's funny you should ask that, because the VIRB devs posted a little announcement a few days ago, saying they're trying to improve spam filtering. Now, the kind you're referring to is different, but when VIRB2 comes out, you'll probably have an answer.

Re: balmer thing:
there is a little cute button at the bottom of our pages that states "Report a Bug"
I guess I consider balmer a bug so I reported it as such:
Dear VIRB Cyber friends, Hallo, Bonjour, Guten Tag, Konnichiwa ect... greetz :)
Since a few aquaintences have had bit of 'harrasment" from this "balmer" thing.
I thought to share: well, in my most humble and naive opinion.
1. balmer is using his pseudo profile to clog up the system.
2. balmer is a old skool trix to distract and annoy, minor but some what effective basic hax 101.
balmer = V I R U S
please investigate.

have a lovely weekend.

I am very happy my friend showed me virb ^.^
it's so code and designer friendly and I hope it's not "hack-able" like *cough* m-space.
m-space = an open back door PC
virb = like a mac os
