one of my favourite scenes is that one where brent is telling tim how you could use post stamp as actual money. like you could pay a taxi driver with a buch of stamps.

i love at the end when that guy is trying to rope them back in to what they're actually there for and dawn says something like "or you could just trade them in if you're near a post office." and brent just quickly adds, "shouldn't have to. shouldn't have to." it is true that legally you cannot burn any item with the queen's image on it.

Tim: So.. you've dug your fox hole, and you've pitched your tent.
Gareth: Right.
Tim: They've discovered you're camp, and you're lying there and they've caught you with your trousers down and they've all entered your hole without you knowing.
Gareth: No, cause I'll be ready for them
Tim: What, you'd just be lying there waiting for it?
Gareth: Yeah, well no what's more likely is that I wouldn't be there if I knew they knew where I was I'd be hiding, watching the hole, using it as a trap.
Tim: So you'd be using your hole as bait?
Gareth: Yeah!

Holy cow, the US version is amazing. I'm a huge fan of the UK one and was a little weary at first when the US version was announced. But man almighty, the US Office is just as good.

Amy says:

Tim: "The people you work with are people you were just thrown together with. I mean, you don't know them, it wasn't your choice. And yet you spend more time with them than you do your friends or your family. But probably all you have in common is the fact that you walk around on the same bit of carpet for eight hours a day. And so, obviously, when someone comes in who you have a connection with - yeah, and Dawn was a ray of sunshine in my life - it can mean a lot. But if I'm really being honest, I never really thought it would have a happy ending. I don't know what a happy ending is. Life isn't about endings, is it? It's a series of moments. And um, if you turn the camera off, it's not an ending is it? I'm still here. My life is not over. Come back here in ten years. See how I'm doing then. 'Cause I could be married with children, you don't know. Life just goes on."
