This is where we fight! This is where they die!

In 480 BC, the Persian king Xerxes sends his massive army to conquer Greece. The Greek city of Sparta houses its finest warriors, and 300 of these soldiers are chosen to meet the Persians at Thermopylae, engaging the soldiers in a narrow canyon where they cannot take full advantage of their numbers. The battle is a suicide mission, meant to buy time for the rest of the Greek forces to prepare for the invasion. However, that doesn't stop the Spartans from throwing their hearts into the fray, determined to take as many Persians as possible with them.

"300" is the spectacular theatrical portrayal of the epic battle at Thermopylae.

This is truly the most Badass movie I've ever seen (Matrix being the coolest) watching this movie definitely brought out the warrior spirit in me, at least for that moment. 110% Guys, Mans movie... but half the crowd was female when I went :o go figure...

Oh on a side note, while playing Foosball at work and scoring a loud power shot, I found myself yelling my favorite line in the movie:

THIS IS SPARTA!!!

Now that's what I call true bravery... Watched 300 twice already.... it's definitely a great movie.. I'd prefer it to Gladiator probably :)

During the entire movie I was back in my chair with my eyes wide open! It was amazing and I would see in again in a heartbeat! Go out and see this people!

It's good to actually hear some praise from a woman. Every female friend I have that HASN'T seen it doesn't understand the LOVE that all their male friends have for this movie. I think it's kind of obvious... but then I am a bloke...
