The United States Men's National Team did not play very well last night. Who the hell were those players? Was there a sign-up sheet I missed? We play a full strength squad in the Gold Cup, but not the Copa America? I don't understand.

3-1 to Paraguay...
However, on Friday we won our U-20 world cup match against Brazil. 2-1. That was incredible.

Anyone else care about the Women's National Team? The game on Saturday was fun to watch....the difference in style of play between the women and the men's teams is always interesting to me. And the longevity of some of these women's careers is just crazy. I think we've got a great chance in the World Cup this fall.

They may not have scored yet but the Toronto FC fans at BMO Field (?) look like an impressive group. Sold out the first home game, didn't they? And the crowd looked like they were really into it and having fun and being loud...all the things a soccer crowd should be!

I think so...they beat Chicago 3-1. I didn't get to see the game, though. Ridiculously expensive to have FSC where I live and they only show the one game a week on ESPN2, so that's all I get unless I go to a game in person. I almost made it to Texas to see the U.S. Women's team play last weekend. I wish I could've been there for that -- 8 goals scored in that game -- it's absurd!

Okay a question if there are any Revs fans out there or anyone familiar with Gillette Stadium. There are going to be some CONCACAF Gold Cup games played there in June and I just happen to be planning to be in Boston on one of the game days. But it looks like it's next to impossible to get to the flippin' stadium without renting a car -- an expense I really don't want to deal with. Is there really no other way to get there, no public transportation for this game? Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part, but please tell me I'm wrong............

I'm pretty sure there is a commuter rail that gets you right to the stadium
check out MBTA's website or give them a call - otherwise, try posting on a website to catch a lift.

From what I can decipher, the train only runs when there's a Patriots game...NO love for the soccer. But perhaps they'll run it since it's an international game. Turns out I'll have a friend with me on the trip and I'm not sure we could swing the ticket prices anyway AND it would be cutting it close to kickoff, but thanks for the advice. I'll keep working on it and we'll see. I will, however, be eternally jealous of all those who get to make it to a Gold Cup game this summer. :)
