I have a question for you folks... I've been exercising for about a month and a half now - after being somewhat sedentary for a long time (always liked going for hikes on weekends). So now I jog to the gym (takes about 15 min) and then push around some equipment for a half an hour (don't really know what I'm doing) then jog back. If I do this too many times in one week my knees get sore - and I think its getting worse week by week. I've heard that it's just categorically bad to run on concrete... but... really?? So many people do it - there must be a way? I am wearing running shoes btw.
